I really do not get it!!! handy for lighting the bbbq on a sunday afternoon :lol: but it is going for nearly 90k at the moment :shock: I thought we were in a double dip recesion . were all in this together :wink:

I have finally done a ctc ride on sunday :D I really did enjoy myself a nice ride out to castell carreg cennen castle and back i did 50 miles in total with a very friendly group i hope to ride a lot more with the group . if any members are on the forum thank you for the welcome and see you soon 8)

i have the defy3 which is the rapid with drops to have mudguards you will have to buy the giant defy/rapid specific ones there is no clearance under the caliper for sks type guards with 700x25 tyres the very max you can fit with guards www.tredz.co.uk/.Giant-Defy-Road-Bike-M ... _34189.htm there is no plastic passing through the brakes just 2 stainless steel rods i use the bike for commuting and audax . I find it very comfortable and responsive it does tend to lift the front wheel on a steep climb :twisted: it also has short chainstays which may cause a problem with panniers ?

thanks for all your help ian mine will have rack and guards not that heavy really mine will have budget kit thinking of having derailler set up now ? unsure about the range on hub gears ?

i just ride my bike :) i tend to put the hammer down when i have a tailwind :idea: but i never plan my route around the wind :!: if i have a tailwind happydays :D if i have a headwind time to get sweating :oops:

i cant really afford it either i had a tax rebate :D spent most of it on xmas presents for my 2 boys and i blew the last of it on 2 jersey's and a cap :D skint again now :( i have come to the conclusion no matter how hard i work or how much over time i do i will always be skint :evil: glad i have my bike to keep me sane :D
