Re: Bicycle insurance
I can't get insurance on my bikes/trike as I keep then in a lockup garage, but it's about 100 yards away from where I live.
All said bikes/trike are ground anchored with heavy chains and padlocks, alarmed and pressure senors under the carpets and heavy duty garage door defender. The alarm is silent, but sends a text to my phone, but that means I have to tackel the intruder(s) myself....so far so good.

22nd January , After waiting nearly two years to see a dermatologist the day has come.......
only to be told that “I'm only the assistant dermatologist and can only take photos and then when it's looked at will send you a report” {FFE - family-friendly edit }, I give up.

Re: State Pension
I would hate it if I had to share, I have lived on my own since 1989 and quite like it, alone, but never lonely.
As for the state pension, I don't get te full amount, little bit short, but I manage with housing benefit due to the fact my working life was cut short as I had an accident therefore my works pension in pittance at £38.70 per month, but with my injury retirement allowance I find it enough, but I haven't been on a holiday in years and any large purchase I have to save up for.
If only I had stayed at home on the 14/07/89 I may have been alright today, or is our life mapped out for us before we are born ?

Re: Battery lock
My battery fits on a slide horizontally (rack battery) so I extended the slide and now a motorbike disc lock to stop it being taken, OK yes they can with an angle grinder, but it's the best I can do or lug the battery around with me.

Re: Hearing Aid Advice
My main reason for me not wearing them on the bike is the replacement cost NHS £70 !!!!
OK I can hear enough like emergency vehicles ect so I don't really need them on a ride
and not been able to hear Mr Car Drivers verbal abuse is a bonus

Re: Rear Indicator Kit
I have indicators front and rear on my trike and up to now people do take notice of them.
I have a 12v supply so I used motor bike ones and they are about 10 inches apart at the rear, and 31 inches at the front

Re: How's your weather?
Ha Ha never seen a gritter in my area and I've lived here 20 odd years, yet it is on a major bus route, when the roads are bad they cancal our route and we have to walk up to a mile to the main road this has been going on for years.
When I asked the council about it all I got told "our priority is to grit the motorway and keep that clear"

Re: Braverman: Rise of the Fascists
Yakdiver didn't have that in mind, not crossing the channel saves lives and saves paying 8 million a day which we can not afford.
Yesterday the crossing started very early in the morning and was still on going and 22:00, the numbers are not out as yet, but I think 600 - 700, the other day we had 615, this can't go on.
