Thing is, if it is legal/acceptable to retrospectively change contracts, why can't we retrospectively change the PPI contracts that are costing us all vast sums, providing inadequate services, draining many public services of much needed funds (and thus impacting all in a bad way), etc. Just change the law because it no longer suits us to be held to contracts we previously agreed to.So the secretary of state clearly wanted to see a scrapping of the feudal leasehold system and a capping of ground rent to peppercorn rents....
