Cycling in Greater London
My OH and I are moving to Greater London due to work commitments and have found a few places in Petts Wood http://www.alandemaid.co.uk/forsaleoffice/Petts-Wood/702 but as regular cyclists we're wondering how we'll find cycling in a more populated area. We're used to the country and few cars on the road. Has anyone else had to make this adjustment? Any tips?

Re: Carrying a defibrillator
Having recently done a first aid and defib course, the importance of early defibrillation in survival rates is significant. That being said, like others have mentioned the chances of someone surviving after their heart has stopped is very slim. I don't think carrying a defib when riding is practical, but I do think it's important to increase the number available in towns and cities as well as more remote areas and I also think CPR should be taught in schools.

Re: Robin Williams
It's a bit of a vicious circle with depression, you know that going out and doing exercise will help, but then you know you just can't face it, it's hard to explain to yourself, never mind other people.
I always got the impression that Rpbin Williams was really sad, comedians often are and I think it's a huge shame that he felt so alone and desperate, he was such a unique character, from Mork and Mindy to my kids loving the genie in Aladdin. I just hope that this will make people talk about mental health more.

Re: Introductions - tell us about yourself
Hiya,
I used to cycle lots when I lived in London, in an around the city and then further afield at the weekends.
Moved back up North, had some kids and used baby carriers a bit on and off but got out of cycling for pleasure and used the car a lot.
Fast forward a few years and the kids are older and I want to get back into cycling again, I've got an ancient hybrid mountain bike that was passed on when a friend moved abroad and am wanting something new, just doing some research.
Am I rambling? I'm rambling.
Looking forward to chatting to some of you
