Re: GPX devices...Garmin alternative
Regarding the last two answers, I created my routes on a MacAir / AppleMac laptop. I can follow routes on CT as long as I’ve saved them but I’m not wholly convinced that I’m using the right processes. At nigh on 76, I’m a techno-Luddite

Re: GPX devices...Garmin alternative
Yup folded map in waterproof case has been my default but recently used the iPhone. Tempted by using it as default and I think I can use my saved Cycle Travel routes on it. Simple question, can I load CT routes onto Garmin or other devices?

Re: Anyone ordered anything from Decathlon lately?
At least Decathlon has been good both online and in-store shopping for my daughter and myself AND unlike Chain Reaction/Wiggle, they still exist. Great store in Surrey Quays despite reduced stock post C19. Evans no where near as competitive price wise!

Approbation there. Found it on the Cycle Travellers' FaceBook site where it was praised

Came across a plug for the Naviki App on a Facebook page. Any views on its use?

Yup, I follow the Cycle Jumbles F/B site. Couldn’t make my nearest local one; Gravesend, due to previous commitments.

Re: Cycle Show 2024 Cancelled. Alternatives
Maybe should have asked if there are any bike shows in Britain this year or have all such trade shows died in the current commercial slump? It was usually good to attend and dream about new trends and kit plus the rest including the chance to listen to the big name cycling characters occasionally.

Cycle Show 2024 Cancelled. Alternatives
As this year’s Cycle Show was cancelled, are there any other similar events in the UK? Do other European countries have similar shows and similar Trade issues?

Re: Children’s Bike Maintenance Books??
What a brilliant range of ideas. I’m going to copy and forward to the parents of the wains, as sadly we live 150 miles apart. Thank you all so very much.

Children’s Bike Maintenance Books??
My 9yr old nephew and 11yr old niece are interested in a bit of bike mechanics/minor maintenance. All the books available seem to be adult oriented. Any suggestions as to anything reasonably understood by youngsters who are genuinely interested but have no domestic background where help & guidance would be given?
