....I would love to try a pair of Jones loop bars for my LHT (have had a pair of on-one midges for 5 years now and would like a change to something more upright)
I've seen the Youtube video, that and the natural hand position is what sold me on them.
My main gripe is cost, which I feel is way to high for whatever reason(?),and I don't see any reason they shouldn't be half that £130 or $130 depending on where you live.
Yes they're possible good but are they £/$130 good, they aren't fine art or unique one off's,just ergonomic handlebars
.
710mm bars are wider for touring to give a more upright position.
Whilst I know in MTBland the trend is toward ever wider handlebars,I'm not convinced anything wider than about 650mm helps any.
If you want to be more upright a shorter stem takes car of that.
And whilst I know the idea of the 710 Jones is to have a longer grip for different hand positions on the outer part of the 'bar, when off road I like to have the brake and gear levers covered so the long grips wouldn't benefit me TBH.
Will be interested to know how you get on with the Humpert aerowing
I haven't had a chance to try them yet but their back sweep is very similar to Jones 'bars(within 5degrees) so should be interesting.
