Rent-a-van in France?

Post by David Orbit »

We are four touring from Poitiers to Figeac in September. We would like to rent a van/trailer and driver to take us back to Poitiers to recover our car. Has anyone done this sort of thing before?
Returning by train to recover the car looks a bit of a faff.

No doubt Enterprise or similar multinational companies will be able to offer a one way rental, only issue I can see is the language barrier.

"And driver" might be a problem. Otherwise, Europcar and Avis have offices in both Poitiers and Figéac, so a one-way rental should work.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

At the end of your trip put only one of you on a train, bus or taxi, who gets to the car and drives it to where the others are and picks up everyone else and bikes. Simples.
