who will ride Vuelta a Espana 2014

Postby nicmarsh » 28 Jul 2014, 4:37pm

Perhaps we wil be treated to a Quintana v Froome affair? I think that would be pretty special. Contador says he wont be riding, Cavendish is unsure whilst Adam Yates is a probability.

Yes, something to look forward to especially as ITV4 are giving it some coverage.

Edit: Hope Dave Millar gets a ride.

yes it was disappointing Millar was not selected for TdF; has been training in Girona recently. Commonwealth TT and/or Road race first ?

Froome and Quintana will both be riding which should make for some great mountain stages, perhaps the highlight of the year? Contador now is going to ride even after that nasty injury in TdeF

Last minute changes may take place of course.

Barring accidents it could be a top tour.
Good health & a following wind. :D

Kicks off today with a short team time trial. Omega Pharma expected to do very well and Team Sky be pretty strong too.

It seems to settle down to a regular 7-8pm slot from Friday from what I can see.
