Looks like an Arab special much like the diamond encrusted Swiss watches that used to be produced for Middle Eastern customers.

There's a few similar show-bikes at l'Eroica in Italy every year 8)
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...

With gold plated rims, how much does it cost to stop? and does anyone offer a gold recovery service from worn brake pads?
Good to see some with gold plated lugs/forks, I was getting worried they were doing it all on the cheap with chrome plating!

Apparently this kind of 'gold plating' is really cheap to do at home and the amounts of gold actually deposited are very small indeed. It was popular on older iphone 3 a few years ago but has fallen out of fashion! You could gold plate a chainset for about 15 quid..
