Ah, of course.

Is the tool showing no uptake at all or specifically on the route or part of the route you're interested in?

Its showing very little to zero interest in the route i know is incredibly heavily used by young kids between home and schools.

How much pressure is there on parking in the town centre. Perhaps an alternative tack is one of reducing parking demand?

There is a massive demand on the already overburdened parking spaces. Complaints of waiting 2 hours to get out of a poorly designed car park with industrial estate on the back of it have been heard recently.
And unfortunately the town have joined in 'small business Saturday' with free parking, wanting to promote free buses or similar instead, but the problem parking area is already free cos it's not council owned so that won't help.

Almost want to promote a 'delivery' lane so that only wvm from the local businesses can uee it to deliver goods that have been bought by people traveling on the bus or bike.

So that's your angle then! You can park 15 bikes in the same space as one car, you can do it in unused corners of the town centre where you cannot park cars anyway.

Aye. By using "leftover" bits of space that couldn't be used to park cars because they wouldn't be able to steer in/out, they wouldn't be able to open some of their doors or they'd have building exit doors opening into them and so on, King's Lynn's borough council managed to put 60 bike spaces into the St James car park while removing only one car space... and lockers on a nearby ledge... and the motorists got that space back from layout changes to another car park during its refurbishment anyway (I think it was because the number of bus waiting spaces in the adjacent bus station were reduced and the bus stops were put parallel instead of the previous end-to-end circle, but I forget the exact details.)

There's plenty of good infographics about how much more money shops make from cycling than cars, such as the one attached.

Is there any anti-social behaviour by motorists on the roads in your town? (If not, let us know so we can all move there!)

However, if there is, then what do your councillors think should be done about it? If they are to be consistent with their town-centre policy, they should ban all driving on all roads where some people are seen speeding, driving while using phones or otherwise distracted, driving/parking on pavements, tailgating etc. etc. Because that's what they're doing to your town centre. (Ours is much the same, with largely anti-cycling local authorities).

And given that this 'anti-social' cycling problem is there despite the ban, the ban's not really working is it?

Why not suggest an experimental (temporary) TRO to try the change -- at least it sounds like they're willing to discuss it.

Indeed, and that's another string in the bow of arguments that is being built up around the town. However given the surprise surprise, poorly designed & implemented shared used cycle lanes that are worthless, there isn't a suitable safe way for a 5 year old to get to the town without stupid detours if using the road system.

I've been around town the last 2 weeks taking pictures of queues, free space, counting peds, cyclists & cars where I can to get some evidence - looking to put together a 3 year plan with yearly milestones on the basis of the xmas period mess.

You don't see yobs cycling around like that in the Netherlands. Could it be because if you have lots of ordinary people cycling around on well designed cycle lanes, then cycling around ceases to be an attractive source of deviant behaviour?
