105 and still setting records?

Post by mercalia »

"105-year-old French cyclist takes aim at world record"
" Robert Marchand is chasing another world record when he jumps on his bike to compete in the senior hour endurance on Wednesday.
Make that uber-senior -- for, while still sprightly, the Frenchman is 105 years old and racing in a category all of his own."

On Wednesday, the 105-year-old Frenchman set a world record in the 105+ age category - created especially for him - by riding 22.547km during his latest attempt.

Despite his trainer saying Vo2 had increased he is slower than 3 yrs ago.
