Thailand in Oct / Nov

Post by matt2matt2002 »

I toured Thailand South from Bangkok last May/June.
I'm thinking of returning this Oct/Nov.
I've researched weather info but wondered if anyone here has toured there then?
Looking at South of Trang and possibly into Malaysia.
Thanks folks
2017 Ethiopia.5 weeks.
2018 Marrakech 2 weeks.
2023 Thailand 8 weeks.
Always on a Thorn Raven/Rohloff hub.

October and into November is still considered low season, particularly on the west coast. Some tourist stuff will be closed or reduced frequency.

I've ridden once from mid October on my Tsunami tour. It's easily do-able, but be prepared for some rain. Normally I'd leave it till November when the weather is more reliable, but if you can only make it then, go for it.

Thanks for the insights, @simonhill! It’s great to hear from someone who’s actually cycled there during that time. I’m leaning towards taking your advice and aiming for November for a more reliable weather.
