About 6°c today and it looked OK when I left home -- the horizontal rain beat so hard on the side of my face it was painful. Another 30 miles in but more endured than enjoyed.

has been fantastic this last couple of weeks, mild and dry, roads are dry and no need to spend time cleaning the bike after every ride

Take out the black bike -- it won't stain as bad. Don't ride the blue bike it'll come back green.

After enduring 4 months of near continuous rain or drizzle at home I’m now enjoying my first ever winter sun holiday abroad.
23 degrees C, dry and light winds.

This is what I can't get the wife brainwashed into I might have to "resort" to drugs or maybe just threaten to invite her inlaws for Xmas.

Where's that at ?

I walked the dog down to the beach on Saturday, enjoying a break in the poor weather we have had this winter. The walk back home took us over several soggy fields, plastering us both with mud. Today we are back to damp conditions. I can't wait for some prolonged dry weather, so that the paths and fields can dry out.

Los Gigantes, Tenerife.
Um Paleface (me) is trying a bit of sunbathing on a balcony. Not something I’m used to at any time of year so it’s half an hour out then popping inside to check for pink bits.

I thought that icy cold wind was starting to abate but no it's back with a vengeance. Got out earlier in the week when it was about 6 degrees but it has went back down to about 2 or 3 degrees along with that strong wind it's just too cold for cycling. Tomorrow it's to be wet too. When you're wet and very cold cycling is just not enjoyable.
