No. I set up my own sawmill just outside Edinburgh. I sold it in 2018, and it's now called Central Scotland Sawmill.

Just a hint of ice on the garden pond this morning, which tends to translate into "better be careful on the roads". But no frost on the lawn, and the ground isn't frozen. Nice and dry too. This is an unusual combination for January. Dry but no frost.

My gorgeous snow cat is boggin after being under my van with me when doing some maintenance. He always wants to be involved.

Heard and saw geese in V formation going over this morning it's much colder today and the geese sounded in distress by the way they were honking. Flying south in that freezing fog after a very wet freezing but snowy night must have been awful.

Cloudier here in Cbg this morning so a touch warmer but so far this week has been a breeze, sunny and cold but no fog and no ice. Even managed to get clothes (freeze) dried outside.
Well I say no ice but they're working on a fractured water main on the hill outside my village, so the pool of water on the cycle lane is rather exciting. I'm keeping the studded tyres on just for that, there's no need for them otherwise.

I collated the data from our local station for this month and it's as follows:

Average high: -3.0c
Average low: -10.6c
Lowest: -22.0c
Highest: 3.0c

It's got to the point where riding at minus 6-8c genuinely feels like it's quite warm. Indeed any temperature where my eye lashes don't freeze!

Well after a good gander I couldn't spot the goose. Is this like a spot the ball picture where you mark it with a X What's the prize.
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840 :D

Yes -- X the sky -- prize -- you get to clear the snow off our lane.

Lovely day here today. Low temperatures but very little sign of ice on any roads or footpaths, and sunshine all day! Driving home from work I passed a roadie doing maybe 20mph up a slight gradient, looking good and strong and no doubt keen to keep up the effort to stay warm.
