Little Britain.
Removed from the BBC's online archive.
We paid for the BBC to make it.
But now the BBC has decided we can't watch it.
The BBC is engaging in censorship.

Re: Little Britain.
The BBC trying to unmake something that can't be unmade.Pity they can't do the same with Eastenders.
Whether you like programs like LB or not they should be kept and available if only to look back on and see how different things are,at least on TV,now.
I see Kieth lemon also apologised for Bo' selecta. Why?As John Barnes Tweeted it caricatured real people not just a race or ethnic group.

Re: Little Britain.
The BBC should be required to make all programmes available to us because we paid for them.
Why should we only be allowed to see the ones BBC staff deem suitable?
Who are they to decide what we should be allowed to watch or not?
Let's scrap the licence fee and get rid of these intolerant people.

Yes, and where's Love thy Neighbour too, eh?
Re: Little Britain.
I always thought the Ting Tong thing was pushing it somewhat. Also appears the cast are kind of regretting their previous roles.
Far too much on the box to worry about stuff like this, just watch something else...

Sensible opinion you have. Moves on does time.

If that was on the BBC then it should still be available to view.
The state broadcaster should not be allowed to censor its back catalogue to fit in with the prevailing attitudes, prejudices and ideologies of its staff.
We paid for it and it should be available.
The BBC is whitewashing its past by this kind of behaviour, and that is very Orwellian.

Time does move on but hiding the past is not necessary. It is censorship.
The state should not do it.

Re: Little Britain.
It should. Times and acceptable norms move on. Pleasingly quickly too. Happy for you to stay in the past, and leave others to occupy the present.

Not just the BBC whitewashing the past.... even more Orwellians when it is the Government!

The BBC is not the "State" as you have had explained on multiple times, are you really advocating thatthe BBC should be showing re-runs of Jimmy Saville and "Jim'll Fix it?

Great programmes.
Or are you unable to enjoy the good works done by people who also did bad things?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Some months ago l was flicking thru channels and on one of the repeat channels was an episode of 'To the Manor Born'. The scene was set on a railway platform and part of the shot was fuzzily out of focus; when it flicked away from that angle, not out of focus. After a while l could only surmise they had deliberately obscured an 'Age of the Train' poster when Jimmy Saville was the face of BR.

That you miss it is somehow surprisingly apt.
