Lejog with my son

A big thank you to all those whose advice helped us... Jamie, my 11 year old son, along with me, Jamie's aged dad, managed to complete our LEJOG in 22 cycling days, covering about 1050 miles. Accomodation mainly camping, so carrying tons of gear. Jamie's attitude to it can be summed up by his compla...

Cheap accommodation near Falmouth?

Hi all, For various reasons, at the beginning of the LEJOG that my son and I are doing next week, we will be in Falmouth for one night, without our trusty camping equipment. Can anyone recommend accommodation that doesn't cost too much? I know there is a private hostel in the town, but I'm slightly ...

Or if you like castles, the North-East corner of Scotland (Aberdeenshire) has lots, plus rolling countryside and a network of quiet country roads. You could even take the sleeper train from London and do the trip in style!

FWIW, mine's a VW Passat estate diesel. 50mpg, 150000 miles and still going strong (fingers crossed) and a boot that swallows anything I can chuck at it. It just keeps going despite the fact that all my mechanical TLC is reserved for bikes/trikes.

I hail from deepest Lancashire and my parents both pronounced it as two words, "skew-whiff". I must have been 30 before I realized not everyone used it!

Ain't you got no trees? http://forum.ctc.org.uk/userpix/1023_Netti_and_Johns_visit_May_07_1.jpg Well, ok, maybe a few. This is our house, peeping out. Mind you, we planted most of these ourselves. Mike BTW: How do you get it to say "MickF said" or whoever?
