Re: Initial planning for LEJOG in 2010

Yes, that was a horrid one Mick. I drove the year before and driving is nearly as bad as riding it and I really felt for you guys doing it in all the dreadful conditions. I was pitching a tent near Lyme Regis when the storm was over you on your first day. Which ever way one does the end to end, ther...

Re: Initial planning for LEJOG in 2010

If you're a fit and healthy person then why not go for The Race Against Time in 2010 ? It's only 6 days after all and they've lengthened it in the last couple of years - it used to be a 5-day event ! I led some of these guys who only got their bikes the previous autumn and we all trained up to do it...

Re: Wiggle doesn't want my custom

Poor customer service from Wiggle isn't new or a surprise is it ? you're not dealing with a person, you're dealing with an automated computer system I got great customer care from a newbie on the scene called Cycling Paradise recently, not much on their website just yet and probably why the service ...

Re: World rec JogLe /LeJog non stop. Anybody up for joining me..

You're mad to do the bit alongside the M74, if it is still possible. In my naievity I did this in 2003 and despite all my cycling experience it was the most dangerous thing I ever did. Take the rout to Longtown and across - it's longer by 4 miles by miles safer. There should be a new direct road ope...

Re: Is there a nutritionalist in the house?

I use Zym - buy it online - it's excellent stuff and has no aftertaste. I tend to cramp more than others and with Zym on any longer rides I simply don't cramp up any more, regardless of the number of hills. I'm quite independant though and tend to listen to my body more than doctors or others and so...
