Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Because traitors who have left UK borders for too long have no right to vote and must accept whatever patriotic Brexiters do to them, even if it's based on lies like £350m/week for the NHS, Turkey joining the EU, open borders with Syria and Iraq, or that the EU restricts trade more than freeing it....

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

So many remain people are so badly informed, twist truths or are delusional.. It doesn't actually matter though. We'll get there in the end . Al Well you're certainly right there Al. On truth and delusion, where exactly fo you believe I live, and why? And why does it matter? Because traitors who ha...

Re: Small wheel blowouts - options?

Now I was thinking that heat induced blowouts happened because the inner tube got too hot and the material failed. Is that not the case? On the two occasions it happened to me I heard a loud bang then the tyre came off the rim. In that order. Bang, instant loss of pressure, tyre off, sliding along ...

Re: What Would You Do With £170M

When I look around my town - at any time day or night - and I see destitute and homeless folk huddled in corners in the rain - and I meet the folk from the local charity who do all they can to help and provide a hostel - I know of a good place to spend £170M. A lottery win is a lottery win, and goo...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

It's looking increasingly likely that BoJo is trying to throw Northern Island under the bus. Bet the DUP are ecstatic. My personal view is it should be handed back anyway. Folk in NI have residency rights in the UK I presume - perhaps they'll be our next big immigration influx... I have never...

Re: Rugger World Cup Fri 20th ITV

Hi, "Rugby World magazine’s letters inbox receives more emails about this topic than anything else! So it’s little surprise that World Rugby introduced a law amendment surrounding the scrum put-in for the 2017-18 season. Read more at https://www.rugbyworld.com/news/scrum-put-in-rules-rugby-exp...

Re: What Would You Do With £170M

After making sure my immediate family were cared for and we had enough to continue our modest lifestyle I'd like to think I'd give the rest to charities.
Unfortunately money has a way of changing people and their views so maybe I'd change also :(

difficult to argue with that

Couldn't agree more, most people never thought about the EU when living their lives.

Re: Round the world(not me)

Is that his latest bike? I've not watched any vlogs with him riding that one. PS,Just checked his latest vlog, nice bike :D He's been riding it for a couple of years. Front suspension is interesting. His photography has improved immensely and he carries a drone with him. I watch out for anything new...

Re: Round the world(not me)

This may change as more people start using them. A tiny percentage of bikes are so equipped at the moment. You may have watched the same ones as me. Possibly,I don't really know but Rohloff are pretty well used kit these days that have stood the test of time. I've read of occasional flange breakage...

Re: 3 in 1 Oil

If you're after something cheap that works, try chainsaw cutter bar oil. You should be able to buy 1L of it for considerably less than a bike shop will charge for 100mL of chain lubricant. I bought a litre of cutter bar oil a long time ago for use on bike chains, and I haven't yet got tp the end of...

Re: Round the world(not me)

I'm guessing cost for one, they're expensive from what I understand. Some would argue the case for a rohloff because of their reliability, but if it were to go pear shaped in some far off uncivilised land (like England) how does one fix it? The humble derailleur has been reliably changing gears for...

Re: Just Waiting (Hospital)

We're lucky at the moment that car parking is free at our two nearest hospitals. The population in this part of France is increasing fairly rapidly so although free you can spend some time hunting for a space. The hospitals are surrounded with housing so no possibility of increasing capacity. I thin...
