Re: Emigration

Thanks Vorpal, we are moving to Wales because we became Grandparents.
So going further afield was forgotten.

Surely not giving up cycling as well?

Such a shame but needed.

Re: A new tea pot

To remove the Tannin build up in a Teapot, I have found Sterdent tablets (other brands are available) work

It may require more than one overnight treatment.

Re: Question for our Scottish members ! Grace Brooks

I did a search and there was a funeral for a Grace Brooks on Friday 31st August in Fort William. Relatives names given as Jackie Willie Kevin and Lucille.

A contact address was given as

C/of Bridge House
Abrach. Road
Inverlochy

Another name given was Robert Duncan.

Unfortunately I only got a partial address for him.
13 Hazel.

I do not know if any of this helps.

Re: Worst job for the police - > motivation for enforcement?

Some strange concepts here, a driver stopped with the engine running hand brake on is committing a crime. A driver with no seat belt on is committing a crime.
It seems implied to me that both of the above should be given the same priority and resources as I was, when I was left unconscious in the road having tried to stop a robbery.

There are not enough police to deal with the problems of society so who gets the first call.

A clue the sergeant had to leave the station as well as one PC for my incident they were so short of manpower.

Re: First car in Space

My feeling of this type of stunt is that is no different to throwing a plastic bottle in the sea for advertising.
It is just something that was never supposed to be there and should have been recycled.

Re: The day began like any other.....

In Ikea if you go to the MFI type collection bit and walk around the show part starting at its exit. You get to see all the shortcuts.
In supermarkets walk straight to the far corner, do not touch or look at any thing. Then only make on trip down each isle you will be out sooner and save a fortune.
The world will not end if you forget the Avawhatsits.

Britian declared war then fought that war in other countries. So should Britian pay for the damage they caused?

Re: Balls

Considering all brown signs are paid for by the visitor attraction they are advertising. Then this ia being directed at the wrong lot, it should be the FA.
Considering what they do for the people who pay to be entertained and care about them.

I do not that that they would do football association about it.

Re: Burscough Girl in The Gambia

I hope she really enjoys her trip.
I went to Banjul in the late 70s I did not get to see much as it was a one night stopover but it looked a lovely place.

Mick how will you get on for 2 weeks with no supervision. :D
