Re: A decent saddle.

Thanks Andy A,... for the valuable information on the Manta saddle. It seems to be another non-starter! I got on my Brompton today for the first time for around ten months or so as I have had three operations this year, all of them for a serious condition. My Hobson saddle was slightly uncomfortable...

Re: A decent saddle.

I often come back to this topic to see if all is well. I see mention of a MANTA saddle! I had a REALY good look at this saddle on the internet. I had great trouble working out what I was looking at....Some of the pictures shown on the web page of the MANTA company are rather hard to fathom out exact...

I insure my Brompton with ETA. The rescue service is limited to 25? miles from your home!

Re: A decent saddle.

Thanks Pete for your comment. On my one day tours I am typically riding for five plus hours on both of my folding cycles. Due to two motorcycle accidents in the 1970's my legs and hips have been messed up! My particular choice of saddle without a 'nose' is just right for people in my condition.

Re: A decent saddle.

It's now 2018 and I recently took delivery of a new late 2017 model Brompton cycle. As the order was late in the year I found out that the cycle has the 2018 speciation which is not bad at all. The new Brompton saddle was utterly awful. Most fortunately I had a spare Hobson saddle available so now r...

Re: A decent saddle.

The above messages are counter productive. After decades of trying to get/find a cycle saddle to allow me to cycle in comfort despite my post accident problems, I found bliss in buying the mentioned Hobson saddle. Despite a worsening situation regarding my hips the Hobson saddles I have fitted to my...

Sorry, this smart buttock tablet has done what my fancy mobile phone does...thinks it's smarter than me and dumps/inserts letters in message's that make things look daft!!!, like the missing word in the above title....

Obama are getting the boot??

Hello, I read often in 'The Times' that the latest U.S. president is trying to get rid of the care service brought in by the last president. I know there is no NHS sort of thing over there and the first thing you see in American hospitals is the payment counter, but WHY on earth would this Trump thi...

When I watch the box I often find football or some other sport sitting where the news should be on the BBC, and often wish the BBC had a sports channel so all the sport could be dumped there!

Re: A decent saddle.

Very strange how things work out. Recently my wife and myself put our Dahon folders into our car and went to ride the Monsal trail. The trail is in a nice location with a decent café to stop at for a meal but is also rather long and saddle time is thus... the same. At the end of the ride my wife tol...
