Obama are getting the boot??

Hello, I read often in 'The Times' that the latest U.S. president is trying to get rid of the care service brought in by the last president. I know there is no NHS sort of thing over there and the first thing you see in American hospitals is the payment counter, but WHY on earth would this Trump thi...

Re: Lack of interest in the Olympics.

When I watch the box I often find football or some other sport sitting where the news should be on the BBC, and often wish the BBC had a sports channel so all the sport could be dumped there!

Re: Urgent help needed - Dahon Folding Bikes!

I own a 2013 Dahon Vitesse and I think its a great bike! I put on the Dahon touring rack which allows you to use full sized panniers. I also have the pump in the seat stem and the 'Landing Wheel' fitted. I brought the 2013 Dahon as the newer bikes have the luggage block on the head tube and I have m...

Re: Who ceased CTC membership after charity conversion, etc. ?

I left as 'charity' usually means 'job creation scheme' and I don't/did not want to pay for such a thing. I was approached by the CTC later to sign a form so this charity could claim tax or something on my membership fee. I often wonder who it was in the past who had the original idea to dump the cl...

Re: Myklops Mirror?

I brought one of these as I need a mirror as I am deaf. Up to now I have used a Cateye mirror with the end of the handlebar plug put in the end of my right hand bar end. This mirror looks alright but if I get tired of it I find that it straps to the above bar end and be comes again...a fixed mirror!...

A sort of crampted feeling!

Recently I purchased a new cheap MTB from my local cycle shop with the intent of converting it to a touring cycle. Up to now I have always had 22" sized frames even though I have short legs for my 6 foot height! This time I brought a 18" frame but on testing the bike when it was finished I...

Re: Beta Blockers and feeling short of breath.

Further to my first message above, I recently went to my doctors about "Warfarin Red Leg" and other things. My doctor tested my pulse and found the Beta Blockers were making my heart beat far too slow ...so took me off the 2.50mg tablets and put me onto 1.25mg one''s...now I can really wal...

Re: The Allotment is back

They never went away! I had allotments in the 1960's and 1970's when they were just ordinary and not the latest trendy thing to do. You must be aware of one sticking point though. If you put lots of digging and effort plus loads of horse muck and soil additives into your plot and then after a while ...
