To be honest, it shouldn't make a difference if it's a single rider or two abreast, as the car STILL should give at LEAST a car's width, and thus be overtaking in the other lane.
It just shows their intelligence if they're shouting at you out of the window. The only thing you'll hear is the "Wwwwaa...". So for all you know they could be air-guitaring and just enjoying their drive!!
Well well, I an astounded by the response so far. I really thought it in the best interests of us cyclists to be responsible about our visibility. I dare say you who that argue against my commen sense approach also drive cars - have you never been in a situation where you are suddenly aware of a cy...
Hi-viz clothing is useless in the dark anyway. It's only effective in reflecting natural light, not artificial light. I don't own any Hi-viz clothing. I think it looks absolutely daft. Road position and effective bike lights are much better at making other road users aware that you are there. Most o...

I've got a new YouTube channel. It's mostly going to be fun Cycling videos highlighting the joys of our sport, but also some incidents when they happen...
Well, I've just returned to this post. I'll recommend Karrimor Ski Gloves. They've got a wee thermal pair of gloves inside big, thick, warm ski gloves, and most days last winter my hands were pretty clammy when I got to work. Amazing difference from the winter before! They were only something like £...
Hi, I've tended to ride with my forearms resting on the middle of the bars lately, and seem to be getting places quicker - so I was thinking about investing in a set of clip-on Aero / TT bars. Me being me, I don't know where to start! Does anyone have any advice / recommendations on what to look for...
First of all, Merry Christmas everyone! :) Right... I'm getting new wheels for my Trek 1.1 road bike for my Christmas present from my Dad. Doing a bit of research into good/light/stiff/reliable wheels, but it's like a galaxy of information out there. Would be looking to spend up to £300 for a pair o...
Can recommend the Target Dry Pioneer jacket. Not specifically designed for cycling, but it beat a lot of cycle-specific jackets for me. No reflective detail on it, but it has more of a drop in the tail and longer sleeves than most I tried. Used it today in heavy rain and not a drop got in anywhere! ...
Can anyone recommend some good winter gloves? Last winter I found that 2 pairs of cycling gloves (1 of them advertised to keep hands warm in temps below -5C didn't seem to do much in the harsh Scottish winter) and a thermal pair on top of that didn't keep the cold out and my hands were practically f...

My riding keeps me safe and everyone else safe. What's the issue? Apologies for checking your age on your profile, but I seriously s...
