Re: Where can I test ride a 29er off road near North London?

Thanks for the reply.
I probably did not make myself clear. I don't own a 29er yet but want to test ride, or rent one and ride it off road to see if I like 29ers before purchasing one.

Where can I test ride a 29er off road near North London?

I'm interested in replacing my worn out 26" MTB with a 29er as most off my off road riding is on tracks. However, I'd like to try a 29er off road before purchasing to see if the big wheel thing really makes that much difference. I can't find anywhere to try one out off road within 90mins drive ...

Re: 9/10 speed compatability

I had this set up but found when it got a little worn the narrow ten speeed chain started falling between the largest and middle chainring when changing. I had to make the whole system nine speed to fix the problem.

Re: B17 Standard or Narrow

Got both. B17 comfortable from day one on my audax and even more comfortable as time goes on. I don't find the narrow on my fixed half as comfortable but the bike is 61 years old and has always had a narrow (this is only its second). I am a slim and light rider.

Can anyone who has used a fully loaded Bagman give me the benefit of their experience?

Will a 9 speed chain work on a 10 speed cassette?

My LBS has build me a new bike with largely Ultegra fittings but there is one problem. I asked for a Deore triple chainset (9 speed) rather than the Ultegra one as I like the 48/36/26 and they fitted it with a 10 speed Ultegra cassette and chain. It all worked fine for a few months and then the chai...

Does a fully loaded Bagman Exp sway when climbing?

I returned last month from my first tour using a Carradice Super C Saddlebag mounted on an SQR (rather than panniers on a rack). The system worked very well apart from when I had to stand up on the pedals to climb a steep hill. On these occasions I found the fully laden Super C swayed just enough to...
