Alpina PSO 4 cycling sunglasses - replacement lenses or glasses

I have a pair of Alpina PSO 4 cycling sunglasses but the coloured lenses are all scratched beyond all use. Does anyone know where I could get replacement lenses for these or anyone got an old pair lying about that I could buy? I have contacted the supplier but looks like they are just based in Germa...

Re: Hit by a car

Scott, sorry to hear of your accident , I'm at work just now so just a few bullet point. May 2017 - I was hit by a car on a roundabout, injuries not as bad as yours, just cuts and bruises. Driver was charged with careless driving, yours is a more serious charge, I am in British Cycling who directed ...

Re: Post accident car insurance premiums

Same thing happened to me. Admiral were the only ones doing this, direct line weren’t interested. I pursued it with admiral who then contacted the motor insurance database and the information was then altered to say I was a pedal cyclist (at that point it was just vague in that I had been in a motor...

Re: Prescription cycling sunglasses with lenses

Cheers fpr feedback - wore my normal sunglasses in today and they give so much better vision, especially when looking over the shoulder, than the Alpine glasses with the small prescription inserts. Looks like Optilbas are the favourites on here - do I just get my prescription details from my opticia...

Re: Prescription cycling sunglasses with lenses

I used to have some Alpina ones with inserts and 3 lenses, but I eventually lost the nosepiece for them. I now have photochromatic prescription sunglasses from Optilabs, which go clear in low light levels and at night. It’s the Alpina ones that I have! I am actually really liking the idea of gettin...

Prescription cycling sunglasses with lenses

A few years ago I got prescription cycling glasses that came with 3 different interchangeable coloured lenses, yellow, light brown and dark brown. Does anyone know of any similar on the market just now - the ones I can find only seem to come with one coloured lens, usually dark brown, but I also lik...

Camera advice - good battery life

Last May i got hit by a car when cycling - luckily I was filming with my Go Pro hero camera and captured the whole thing. This resulted in the driver being prosecuted and my claim for damages being un contested. Long story short, I am now feeling confident enough again to go back out on my bike but I...

Hybrid to Road bike and back?

Brief summary. had a Specialised Crossroads Hybrid for years. In 2016 I got a Fuji 1.3 Road Bike. Took my cycling up from just 13 mile commutes to eventually managing 120 miles in one day. I had assumed I would have kept using the hybrid for commuting but realistically once I got used to the road bi...

Re: Back on the road after accident

Cheers folks for the advice and input.

It does seem to be all about "just getting back out there" and overcoming the fear.

Easier said than done but one step at a time....

Back on the road after accident

I got knocked off my bike at a roundabout on my commute to work in May. Since then I have only managed 2 x 10 mile road runs and I was as nervous as hell the whole time. Riding with my fingers over the brakes and almost slowing at every junction. I did also have one 30 mile run purely on a cycle tra...

Re: Had an accident - what now?

Cheers guys - contacted BC today and they in turn have passed my details onto their Scottish lawyers who have already phoned me to establish the facts before they advise if they will take the case on.

Think he sounded disappointed that I didn't have any broken bones though!

Re: Had an accident - what now?

Cheers for the feedback so far - many of you suggest contacting local bike guy. However the bike is just over a year old, its a Fuji which was bought from Evans cycles and I am guessing any spare parts may need to be sourced from them anyway so would it be ok to have them appraise the state of the b...

Had an accident - what now?

In brief, cycling into work today, women driver joined the roundabout I was on without stopping and I went into the drivers door, fell backwards and landed on road. Was wearing a rucksack which softened some of the impact but helmet was smashed as my head hit the tarmac. Ambulance was called and got...

Re: Cheapish waterproof rucksack

Cheers for feedback, whilst looking online at some of the recommendations here I came across the Oxford Aqua range and have bought one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N4R17J9/ref=pe_385721_37038051_TE_3p_dp_1 a good bit bigger and stiffer than my existing rucksack but I cant seek out fully w...
