Re: What 18650 batteries for your battery pack?

This site from Denmark is one of my favourites. He carries out comprehensive testing of batteries, as well as chargers, multimeters, etc. No adverts, no Patreon, pure nerdiness. Hope you enjoy!

Re: ctc bike bags and british airways anyone?

We used this method to return from Bucharest a few months ago. It worked fine bar a couple of very small snags. Make sure you have printed BA's policy, which says they accept bikes in a recognised cycle bag, just in case local staff aren't familiar with the policy. We had no arguments or issues in B...

Re: Flixbus

Here are my recent experiences travelling with a bike on Flixbus. I took Flixbuses from Paris to Trento via Munich, bike-toured for a while in Italy and Austria, returning via Flixbus from Munich to Paris. Booking: As the early posts in this thread mention, the bike is treated as a passenger. Click ...

Lower Danube: Pension Vivi at Ion Corvin

Hi, Very specific question if I may. Has anyone stayed at the Pension Vivi at Ion Corbin in Romania, if so was it recent? The Pension is mentioned in the Cicerone guide and various online sources, but doesn't respond to phone calls on three listed phone numbers. I fear it may have closed but I'd lov...

3-spline lock ring removal from 1980's Miche headset

Hi there - I'm trying to disassemble a 1980s Mercian for refurb and encountered this 3-spline lockring on the Miche headset. Anyone know where I could get a suitable tool to remove it?

Re: Advice about uphanger fitting

I'm wondering what problem you are trying to solve with an uphanger. Judder. And awkward cable routing, up and over the bars to reach a stem-mounted hanger. I think the standard uphanger bolt is M5 and suspect the fork crown threading to be M4, which may complicate matters further. Good point, that...

Advice about uphanger fitting

I bought a Tektro uphanger [ http://tinyurl.com/ltp9vzt ] with the intention of fitting to my new Bob Jackson World Tour. It turned out to be a bad choice. On my threaded forks, the headset bottom protrudes a long way from the fork crown. I considered trying to make it fit with spacers, but on the T...
