Nm values chainwheel bolts Viscount Aerospace
Yesterday I finished the restauration of my second Viscount Aerospace Pro. In the last weeks I refurbished the frame and fork, cleaned all the parts, regreased the bearings (in the wheels -> 27inch, Campagnolo hubs
although not Brittish), etcera etcera. A very nice job which has given me lots of pleasure!
Adjusting the gears (front derailleur) I noticed that the (TA) chainwheels are bent and they are hitting the cage of the front derailleur. I think the bolts of the chainwheels to the cranks are not tightened with the right Nm value, and that brings them in a light curve. I think the solution is to use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts. Does anyone know the correct Nm values? That will also help for my other Viscount Aerospace Pro which has the same error (with the chainwheel wth the large holes). Thank you very much.

Re: Cycling around Thurlestone
Thanks very much. I've made some nice tours in the countryside. I took the cx with me, but the racingbike with 27 gears would have been a more comfortable device... the steepness of those hills...! I've enjoyed the tour to Bee's sand and a day trip with the Avon Valley Tour included: very nice. I was very charmed by Totnes, drank coffee in a nice coffeebar near the bridge (they hung an old nicely restored Royal Enfield bicycle on the wall). I''ll be back: maybe I will take my Viscount Aerospace Pro with me.

Cycling around Thurlestone
From wednesday 15 th I 'll be spending my holiday in Thurlestone (Devon). From our rented appartment I want to cycle around in the area.
I have two cholces for the bike wich I can bring along: the racing biking or my cyclecrosser? What do you recommend?
What will be the most convenient bike? Where can I find usefull information for short (4 hours, max 100 km lang) trips. Thanks.

Re: Viscount bicycles!!
Hello,
I'm new to the group. Bicycles are a hobby of mine. I live in cyclingcountry The Netherlands and every now and than I like to restore a race bike, as I did with a Raleigh Ti Raleigh Pro and a Kirk Precision.
Yesterday I archieved a black/silvergrey Viscount Aerospace Pro which requires (a lot of) work, what I will and can do myself. It also needs the following list of parts:
- the original handlebars (now: flat bars)
- the original brakelevers (now: mtb ones)
- the original replacement fork (now: the even more original death fork!)
- the tt decals Aerospace Pro (now: very worn; Lloyds?)
For this parts I'll need your help (to get them),
Thanks,
Ben
