Re: ...how to get the CTC members' discount with Wiggle
I had the same problem last night. Never got asked for my CTC number and tried a few different items and everytime I went to checkout the price had increased between 10p and 40p. Sure I did it all correctly.
Ended up buying them off ebay.

Re: Patello-femoral pain
I had similar problem many years ago when I was a young man, in those days I used to cover 80-100 miles a week. After a course of physio and the exercises to correct the inbalance around my knee everything was ok and I was back to my usual routine. I used to keep up the exercies the physio gave me a...

Re: Apollo Folder
A young guy at work commutes in ton one if the weather is nice; I must mention this is the only cycling he does. His opinion of it is that its ok for about 30 minutes but he couldn't amagine doing anything much longer. Not up to the same level of comfort as an old mountian bike he had as a teenager....

Re: Buying from Germany?
It never crossed my mind to look at mainland europe to by stuff from. I've just bought a saddle and loking on 'bike24' I could have saved £10 and that is with the postage. Definitly include that in my next search for a purchase, specially as you say it was hassle free.

Re: Is 'Cycle to Work' dead?
Last year I thought great new bike on the cycle to work scheme. Then I spent 15 minutes on the internet and found I could save upto 50% on some of the models I was looking at, so I took the gamble and bought of the internet and save a lot more than I was expecting to. I think cycle to work like most...

Re: Double to triple?
I have successfully converted a double to a triple. The bike circa 2000 had Ultragra STI and Tiagra double with Tiagra long rear derraileur. All I needed to change was the chainset used 44/32/22, new bottom bracket and triple front derailleur. Everything works perfectly.

Re: Which big organisations don't run the bike purchase scheme?
John Lewis does not. Though they did have a one of bike purchase scheme last year, but the formulae they used ment you had to earn above a certain threshhold to qualify. I didn't use it as I bought a bike through the internet a lot cheaper than through the scheme. I did do some calculations and the ...

Re: Chain Care
I know this may sound a bit sad, but I decant my White Lightning into an old nail varnish bottle and use the brush to lubricate every link. It takes a couple minutes to do but I think its worth it.

Re: Best Folder
I will put a vote in for the Xootr Swift, I had a test ride on one a while back and it is a really great bike. Its easlily upgraded as everything is standard bike equipment, would be ok for light weight touring but if you planed carrying camping gear etc. you could always use a trailer. Tried to upl...
