Re: Crazy incident on the road , be careful !!!

The car is facing the centre reservation, it may be the car was overtaking on the nearside and tried to nip in front of the truck Even if it was the case the truck driver should have known a collision had occurred Why, have you driven a similar truck an have experience of what it feels like in the ...

Re: Crazy incident on the road , be careful !!!

It doesn't look intentional, just a freak accident. Lucky no one hurt. The car was so close and low down to front of very tall truck it was not in view of the truck driver. Would be interesting to know how the car got to be in that side-ways predicament - i think that's where the true cause and bla...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

There's a lot we haven't lost in the automotive market. We supply heavily into European tier 1 and 2 companies. We're a small player, there's a lot bigger employers doing the same. Just because a car is put together in another country doesn't mean it's not significantly made elsewhere. Having said ...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I read some in the EU are worried that the UK may become Singapore-on-Thames. Well they should concentrate on dealing with Ireland which already is become that, a tax haven? Seems the Irish are upset they are misunderstood The country has faced increasing criticism of its corporate tax policies, wi...

Re: Bells on bikes

I’ve read much but not all of this thread and wondered whether the purpose of a bell rather than its application has been discussed. To me it’s an audible device that is used to draw attention to one’s presence. The thread seems to have concentrated on the interaction between cyclist and pedestrian...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

It might be interesting to do a what if and suppose that the GFA requirements are left to the period when the trade talks are being discussed. We are in a transitional period where nothing changes. we have left but follow EU rules so the borderlessness is intact. We can extend this period by mutual...

If I was involved we would be out by now and concentrating on how to distribute the savings, Its clearly someones fault but definately not mine. Elites mess with Nation's progress, just like in VZ it all ends in chaos. < SNIP - removed : Graham > Al Savings, this assumes that we could provided all ...

I suppose it would work along the lines of May's 'hostile environment'. The onus would be on landlords, employers and others to enforce the law, and they would be the ...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I am not castigating the EU for pursuing their self interest just stop pretending they are really suporting the GFA and Eire. The foolish May thought it was about the GFA I suspect then when the EU shot down the possibility of using tech to solve the border problem, it became clear it wasnt the GFA...
