A one day coast to coast

Hi All, I'm planning on a coast to coast next June, a load of my friends want to do it too so I need to be super organised! As we'll stay in a Travelodge on the Friday night before, and the Saturday night once we're done, I really want to get the basics sorted by the end of October so that I can boo...

Re: I don't care about "for or against"

I seriously can't believe this thread has been dug up:
By the way, I still wear a helmet... and I still DON'T want to be told that I have too.

Re: Great Yarmouth to Bicester

It's a charity ride for a young lad at a local school in Bicester who has Steven Johnson Syndrome. It really is horrible... Don't google it unless you are prepared to see something unpleasant. Anyway, the school is called "Bure Park", so after a bit of thought and research, I found "B...

Re: Great Yarmouth to Bicester

Thanks mg2012, I'll have a look at that route and make some tweaks to (or completely redo) day 1. Regarding day 2, I've made the changes that mcr suggested and I'm pretty happy with it (I'll still listen to advice on it!)... I actually did this route two years ago returning from an Oxford to Cambrid...

Great Yarmouth to Bicester

Hi, Can anyone see any glaringly stupid mistakes with these routes: Day one http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=1902200 Day two http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=1902202 All on road bikes carrying minimal gear, over a weekend in May. Any suggestions or alternatives grateful...

Re: UPDATE - Official CTC LEJoG Tours in July and Sept

Mick F, this isn't aimed at you, me or indeed most of the posters on here. Most of us enjoy the planning, the booking, finding the value for money. However, how many visitors to this site just come for advice and never post? The "I want to do it but don't know where to start" types are exa...

I've found out that this could be a "Sunbeam Comanche".
Where do I go to find out more? Any suggestions welcome.

Raleigh Comanche

Hi, I've just got hold of a Raleigh Comanche but I can't find any info about it at all. I've seen one photo-copied page of an old brochure that I can't read, but that's it! Does anyone have any info on the year/numbers etc? Thanks in advance, Nathan MODS: Sorry if this is the wrong place to post... ...

Re: Why Wick and not Thurso way?

I have planned my JOGLE 28th May to start at JOG and then head off through Turso and then south, whilst most other routes seem to head off to Wick! Am I missing a trick here? All advice welcome! Thanks in advance! JT This was my first day (http://www.everytrail.com/fullscreen.php?trip_id=1020886). ...

Re: Travelodge...

During my JOGLE last June/July we stayed in 4 Travelodges on route (Inverness, Dumbarton, Hereford and Oakhampton) and we asked on arrival about bikes in the rooms. On all four occasions there wasn't an issue and a one even offered the boiler room to hang our soaking wet clothing to dry as it has pe...

Re: LEJOG start

Never bothered with any register....to be honest never even knew about it...not signing it does not mean I didnt complete my LEJOG Me either, although mine was a JOGLE in June/July 2011. By the way, if you are cycling from LE to the B&B and then continuing from there, it's not "the night B...
