I cut two pieces of plywood (5mm thick) long enogh to lift the offending wheel just off the ground,cut a semi circle (same diameter as frame tube) in end of each piece and stapled some old carpet to both to form a hinge,piece of string threaded through both pieces of plywood to prevent the wood open...

Squeeker, Mark gOvbr posted some pics of his modified boot bags in an earlier post , (might have been on another site,cycle chat maybe) he still uses them, a lot cheaper than trike specific stuff

Yes I think it's the first flat, (worn tyres) don't put WD 40 on anything on the trike, it's a water dispersant, use spray grease, you could try covering the spring and parts of the tubing with a bit of old inner tube and a couple of tye wraps to prevent egress of muck, might also act as a squeak su...
