Re: C2C - Camping in Whitehaven
Thanks, that's the only place I came up with. Probably have to go with that then!

Re: First Bike Tour
I'd get some padded undershorts, I've got some DHB ones off Wiggle.co.uk for around a tenner and theyre perfectly fine. The Lidl ones will probably be similar price/quality. I'm not sure I'd recommend buying that Lidl toolkit as youll end up taking too many tools. All you're going to want to take realistically is a spare tube, a patch kit, a set of allen keys/multitool and a chain tool.

Re: Coast to Coast Questions!
Right so that's sorted then. Ill get a recumbent and cycle where the hell I like.
All jokes aside, thanks for the useful, if slightly off topic, replies. We're doing it the more traditional W - E way now.

Thanks for the help guys.
Also, why is it recommended going from West to East? We plan on doing it Vice-Versa, shouldn't be a massive difference, should there?

Coast to Coast Questions!
Hi all,
Me and two friends are thinking of doing the C2C from Sunderland to Whitehaven at the end of May. The problem is, the trip needs to be SUPER budget so that means camping. Are we going to be able to find suitable places to wild camp on the way? Obviously using the arrive late/pack early principle...OR are there a good amount of campsites along the route? We're going to be cycling over 4 days with an extra day at the lakes somewhere.
Thanks,
Martin.

Replacing Shimano Disc Brake Lever Blade
Hi,
Being an idiot, my Kona Dr Dew Hybrid was recently dropped, snapping the left hand brake lever (on the 'trigger' part, the rest of the lever is fine) I have finally found somewhere in the UK selling replacement single levers BUT I don't want to go through the pain of bleeding the whole disc system when I've only snapped a non mechanical part of the lever.

Shimano M486
This is the brake in question, does anyone know if I can simply replace the silver lever part without having to remove the push rod etc and messing with the mineral oil and bleeding the system?
Thanks in Advance,
Martin.

Re: Shimano Hydraulic Discs
Thanks for the replies! The 2mm allen adjustment was what I was looking for.
The brakes are fully set up correctly and would be fine normally, but me being picky I like a lot less pull than most people have.

Shimano Hydraulic Discs
Hi All,
First post, after lurking a while!
I have just received a brand new Kona Dew Deluxe, which im loving so far
It comes with Shimano M486 Discs and im wondering how to adjust the pull of the lever so it pulls less (the levers currently pull in to fairly close to the grips) Im new to all Hydraulic Brakes and all I can think of is an adjustment in the lever somewhere?
Cheers.
