Front Lights

Can anyone reccomend a front light for use on unlit roads in the £10 to £20 area I have a flashing front light so being seen is not a problem it's spotting pot holes on unlit roads that's a problem

Thanks for all of the above help managed to get the chain off last night came off quite easily now I am doing properly, chain is now having a good soak in meths, (hic).

It's a KMC make so thanks for all of the above help I will have another go tonight tried last night by wrapping a length of wire round the link then tightening it up with a pair of pliers didn't work will try proper method tonight.

I am sure this question has probably been asked before but here goes. I have a power link on my chain and can not get the bl**dy thing undone any tips? or am I missing something obvious like pushing the plates together before trying to slide them apart?

Couple of points A. they are not rechargeable, B. they are AA not AAA they were brand new straight out of the packaging I suspect that it is to do with the fact the Duracells seem a little fatter than the Memorex ones and as the space in the end of the light is a bit tight I suspect they are not mak...

Has anyone come across this before. I decided tonight after I got home that the light in my Cateye Opticube was a bit dim so I fitted four new AA duracel batteries it would not work, no matter how I arranged the batteries it would not work, works fine when I put the memorex ones back in. Only ever had one motorist shout at me it was my fault I clipped his mirrow trying to squeeze past him, not my fault the useless cycle lane finishe 29 yrds short of the ASL.

My first day back on the bike was a week today (Tuesday) had the oppurtunity to wear my new over shoes and nice WARM tights. Only problem now is if it's not below zero I get too hot.
