Not sure if you've shrunk the heat shrink yet but I've used a hairdryer on a couple of occasions.

In particular, how many speed is the hub? Knowing the hub model would also help for a lever match. For all I know the clickboxes might all be the same, but quite probably not. Do you have the push rod that goes into the axle, or do you need one of those as well?
Sram have not made spares for a few years for the hub gears, so hen's teeth comes to mind.
Sorry, I don't have one/any spares, but have worked on them on increasingly rare occasions.
Hi, it's for a Dahon Speed Pro. The hub is a Sram 3 Speed with a cassette body for a 8/9 speed cassette. Everything works ok it's just the actual plastic clickbox cover that slides off I'm looking for. I appreciate it maybe easier to get a complete working clickbox rather than just the cover.
The left hand side cover on mine is missing.

Re: Best wishes for Brucey
I've never had the fortune to meet Brucey but he's always amazed me with his depth of knowledge.
I wish you well for a speedy recovery Brucey, I sincerely hope you're up and about as soon as possible.

Sram clickbox
As titled, looking for the box only unless anyone has a complete one ( including the grip shift) that's working. It's for a folding bike.

gregoryoftours wrote:You can see the set of 3 spokes per grip holding the stack of leather washers together in this photo. Nipples in one end, j-bend on other. You can remove the washers to shorten the grips, and I presume that you'd clip the excess of the spokes.15757.jpg
They actually sell them in a 130mm length and provide a set of 80mm ones to shorten them if you wish to. So there's no need to "clip" the spokes shorter.
I've just purchased a pair and want to reduce the length, hence my initial enquiry.

Brooks leather grip spokes
Are these available? I've looked on the Brooks website and they're not listed. I'm looking for a pair of the 80mm spokes to shorten some grips.
Thank you

Re: Cheap folder
FWIW, I'd always fancied a folder and last year purchased a secondhand Dahon Vitesse D7. It's been a great bike 20" wheels, IHG and a small rack on the back. I've used it frequently for shopping trips, even used a Carry Freedom trailer on the rear. Bargain at £140. I get more people talking to me about it than any other of my trusty steeds.

Re: Bar-end rear view mirror
I have used these on 3 of my flat bar bikes, yes they are small but they give enough of a view from the rear in my opinion plus they fold out of the way when not in use.

Re: Painting spd pedal bodies
Many thanks for everyone's input and suggestions, the white Shimano pedals is the way I was thinking of going but the Welgo pedals may be the way to go. Fortunate to have quite a few bikes so the pedals won't get hammered to quickly, I'll check out the Welgo option.

Painting spd pedal bodies
I have some M520 pedals that are used and I'm thinking about stripping them down and painting the bodies red for a specific bike build. Has anyone ever attempted this or can anyone recommend a pair of red spd pedals although I doubt if they'll be as good as the Shimano ones.
Thank you
