Glad I didn't join you on this, my running training is taking first place at the moment in the run up to the Great North Run. Next year the LEJOG but with an easier route I reckon. Thanks for taking the tro...

Re: Spare space, maybe two - LeJOG August 15th

Suspect that 120 miles a day for 8 straight days may just be a touch to far for this marathon runner, fell runner, triathlete, but not so experienced road cyclist. Wish you well for the trip, the Scout Hut in Bakewell is very basic, come round to mine if you prefer!! Good luck guys see you on the ro...

Re: Spare space, maybe two - LeJOG August 15th

I have done a fair bit of mountain biking and did the Coast to Coast last year on road in three days in torrential rain for all three days. No sweat!! Done the London Marathon this year and doing the Great North Run in September so fit enough. Just looking at getting a road bike as done everything o...

Re: Shortest route

I am planning a South Coast to Gretna ride in July as not got the time to do the LEJOG. I am going from Lymington on the South Coast probably up the middle of the country to Oxford, Leicester, then across to Bakewell where I live for a change of clothes and more food and then up to Lancashire then u...

The site shop through the CTC page says maintenance. Maybe I am not logged in properly?? Will try again.
They dont have any Audaux style bikes they say on their page. Will keep researching and exploring. What is this forums most popular bike? A survey might be on I think!!

Re: Road Bike

Not really. It's a highly profitable, highly marketable, very fashionable, young orientated, high disposable income segment of the market well tuned to the very competitive, high status consumerist age that we live in, well backed up by major events and sponsorship. It's less well related to getting...
