Rigid fork for a 2009 Orange P7
Hi, I'm trying to convert my 2009 Orange P7 into a commuter/tourer, and I am struggling to find a suitable rigid fork. Orange have stopped selling the forks they used to make (How I wish I had bought one), and a suitable replacement of a Kona Project 2 Disc seems hard to find. Orange said the max fo...

Hydraulic brakes - stupid question
I'm going to get some Avid Juicy Five's for my MTB.
Stupid question, but when you buy this type of kit to add yourself, do they come set-up in the British fashion, or will I have to switch the levers?
i.e. Left hand rear brake, right hand front brake.

Drink-cycling
A link someone sent here said: "It is an offence to ride a bicycle whilst unfit through drink or drugs" Which makes sense. However, out of interest: 1. Is it covered by the same blood alcohol level? 2. If you get done for drink-cycling, does it put your driving license in jeopardy?

Well done mate. I carry a laptop in my panniers everyday (Macbook in a neoprene sleeve, put inside a Crumpler Crispy Duck, encased in a classic waterproof Ortlieb roll-top pannier - bullet proof even in the worst weather). In November I'm hoping this won't be necessary and will be doing the once a w...

Increasing the speed of my ride to work
I find that my daily commute to work (20 miles round trip) is taking longer than I would like.
What drugs would people recommend to increase performance and does anyone have a cheap blood doping regime they can recommend?
None of my cycling books cover this important area of cycling.

In praise of ... Vélib
In praise of ... Vélib Guardian leader... "But the cynics, who predicted that bicycles and taxis would not mix, have been proved wrong - so far. In London the number of cyclists killed or seriously injured on the roads has fallen by nearly a third in the last decade, mainly because of bicycle l...

Shimano disc brakes
I'm considering upgrading my Shimano Deore cable disc brakes on my Mountain bike to Shimano XT M765 hydros. They are pretty cheap at the moment:

1. Would it just be a straight swap onto the existing fittings?
2. Will I notice an increased performance?

reflectors for pedals
I've just bought some Wellgo Trekking Single Sided SPD 95B for commuting, chosen because I can use them without cleats for short trips to shops etc, but wonder if anyone knows where you can get hold of reflectors to attach to them. They have holes which would allow this. http://forum.ctc.org.uk/user...
