Regret cannot help much with your problem; we flew to Bodo via Oslo, but can I recommend a side trip to the Lofoten Islands as you are going to be near ? The great wall of mountains is easily bypassed and the scenery is fantastic. The Hurtigruten boat drops you in the middle of the night, but as you above the Arctic Circle it is daylight all the time!
Regards,Geoff

Touring with My Garmin 450
During the Summer I intend to cycle from Lille to the Floriade festival in Venlo NL. As a start, I have downloaded a series of routes from RouteYou, which seem satisfactory. Any other website that is better, please advise.
Garmin offer 2 alternative SD cards; City Navigator Europe NT Benelux and France @ £34.00 or BeNeLux Cycle Map @ £115.00
Would anyone know if the less expensive card is suitable? If so, anyone wish to sell me a 'part used' card.
Thank you, Geoff

You can buy spray on or brush apply , a light greased based material from agriculture merchants, This is used to protect steel surfaces when not in use, like plough-shares. Sounds a bit extreme, but it works. Try your nearest John Deere tractor agency.

Band M E-Werk and Garmin
My touring bike is equipped with a B and M hub dynamo. To charge My Garmin Oregon 450 GPS whilst touring I have just purchased a B and M E-Werk device. This has to be calibrated to provide the correct voltage and amperage for the GPS and any other devices (MP3 ,phone, etc).
Garmin are coy about disclosing this info, and suggest I buy other unsuitable chargers from them.
Anyone know this info or direct me to a source?
