As someone who is a relative lightweight it feels dangerous to ride in really high winds like we had earlier this week. Not to mention the wind is one of my major asthma triggers. :(

Nope, it's never too late to start. I started cycling again last year after a near fatal chest infection and giving up smoking. I have 50% lung function left and although it's tough going my cardio-vascular fitness is improving. Don't seem to dropping much weight but then I'm only a 120lbs anyway. I...

I wouldn't dream of inflicting my lycra/coolmax clad ass to the world and so wear regular shorts over my cycling shorts.
