Re: knee pain and clicking

Well, bit of an update on this, been off the bike 7 days now, due to work, weather, and being in Prague for 4 1/2 days. Whilst in Prague we did a bit of walking, when I say say a bit, I mean a lot, and when I say a lot, I mean.....according to my lady's Fitbit....80km... 50 miles!! . (Thursday 4 mil...

Re: Insoles to raise ankle height

Haha! I have this problem with certain footwear , not of cycling issue, but being leather, a generous manipulation of ankle area of boot with brooks proofide , soften said leather and no more problems. I don't know the answer to this ,but its worth a try for sure, cheap gel heel pads can be bought qu...

Re: LBS or Black Friday online discounts?

Always online, Black Friday or not, and always the best deal. I do all my own maintenance, build bikes up from frames etc, so source my parts online for 'best price' I stopped using my LBS some 15 years ago, as even then they never had what I wanted, looked bemused when said item was for a bike that...

Re: Have you lost weight since you started cycling?

I haven't lost weight, though since I started age 4 ... yes I know other people have made that point. Cycling did, however, cure me of a horrible bout of depression in my late 50s. Better than any prescription, though there were a lot of miles involved. I don't know whether I have suffered from dep...

Re: cycling leg warmers

I've always seemed to use these

Have done for over 25 years, just ordered 2 pairs,as my 28 yo originals have just about perished. The seat area is transparent and the stitching is..well , there is not a lot left to stitch to.

Re: knee

Sounds like you need a mechanic rather than a doctor! Are you certain it's your knee? Any moving / adjusting of position can open a right can of worms. Maybe your knee actually preferred the old position? I actually have more issues with my free float SPD cleats than my rigidly held Keo cleat...

knee pain and clicking

Following on from my other post regarding saddle height, I lowered my saddle +/- 8mm as I was getting pain at the back and side of my right knee. I also discovered my foot wasn't straight when clipped in, and when I peddled I was trying to hold my foot straight against the release spring of the peda...
