Re: HeadLight fitting to SMGTE

I have a Garmin HeadLight that uses a GoPro type fitting. I'm struggling to find a satisfactory solution to mounting a Go Pro mount to my SMGTE. I've looked at using the speedo bar from HP, but that means I have a mount, with a mount, with a mount. Lots of bolts etc to come loose and maybe get stol...

Another vote for Showers Pass, they are designed for weather in Portland area, US, and that's very wet. Mine is Elite 2.1. Buy 2 sizes, send one back free. Usually have a 10% discount too for first order, UK outlet based in Scotland iirc,

Re: Spa cycles Caldar leather saddle

The Aire also has this non backing option, but not std Nidd , yet. I've had my Nidd for probably 8 years, and at least 50,000 km. A couple of years ago it was still rock hard, and it was summer. So I left the bike in the sun for a while, then smeared some Olive oil all over the saddle, which almost ...

'Full Tilt' by Dervla Murphy, c. mid 50's, if you can find a copy. An excellent read, combining cycling, adventure, personal stuff. etc or
' Johnny Gingers last ride', by Tom Freemantle , an even better read.

Re: Cyclist died after relying on rear brake on Dales descent due to failed front brake

I always carry a spare set of disc pads, both on my tourer and recumbent, having had a 'new' set of Clarkes pads come off the backing plate completely, whilst going down a hill. Needless to say, don't use them anymore. A tragic story indeed, but would never have happenend if he'd have lived in Norfo...

Re: Fell off today

Just seen this thread, as I've been 'well crook'. Mrs Stumpy put the bins out Tues Night, and Wednesday the Garden bin was missing. I was going to contact the council but decided to leave it a day. That evening all was revealed. Our next door neighbours' parents had taken it in, thinking it was the...

Re: Alternatives to drop bars??

Try and get hold of a pair of the 'ski' or 'L' shaped bar ends that every one had in the nineties, for your flat bars. If fitted almost horizontal, then a stretched out position can be achieved by hooking thumbs in the bend and allowing the wrists to be supported by the handlebar grip. EBay could be...
