Valley of Stone cycleway

Closer to home, does anyone know if this is complete? Runs from Healey Dell to Rawtenstall and was meant to open ‘in 2019’; the map on the website isn’t the easiest to follow. I know they’ve done the bottom end…

Re: Water Rail Way?

And Woodhall Spa is on the edge of the fens, but in it by some definitions

Where my wife's friend lives is definitely in the fens.

Water Rail Way?

One of my wife’s friends lives in the Lincs wolds fens near Lincoln Boston. I see the old railway line through Woodhall is now a rail trail but that it’s not all off road.

Can any Lincs locals comment on whether it’s suitable for, say, a 9yo & 7yo plus adult?

Re: Park Tools chain wear tool - changes in newer version?

I have an old(ish) Park Tools chain wear tool. It indicates 1% and .75%. The new tool indicates .75 and .5 and recommends replacing the chain at .5 for 11 speed and .75 for 10 speed. Am I right in thinking that 8 and 9 speed set ups are therefore more economical in this regard (i.e. the chains last...

ATACs for the win every time. I have a set of Links on the Hybrid of Doom which are flat on one side and have ATAC retention bars on the other, and ATAC XC pedals on the MTB & road bike.

Enforcement is another issue though, and like the mobile phone while driving thing, it’s not good changing the rules if the existing ones aren’t going to be enforced. So we should make driving while using a phone , ...

Re: Pedal reflectors

The RR-1s I’ve come away with today were removed from a bolt-on mount with judicious use of a screwdriver to lever them out.

I think RR-1-A is the part number, but the reflector units are stamped RR-1.
