Re: Public Liability Insurance?

Similar, but as this is a one off I’m not proposing to create a CTC affiliated group, and I don’t think we have corporate insurance for this kind of thing,

Public Liability Insurance?

Wearing one of my work hats, I have been roped into organising a work-related bike ride in Sep - for various reasons (mainly that we’ve not done this before…) the numbers are relatively small (about 12 people) and it’s not open access (all the other participants are work colleagues). I’m told we’ll ...

Re: Casual t-shirts?

Road Holland used to make polos from Sportswool, but they're defunct these days - you might still find some stock somewhere. I think Vulpine are still making merino polos with a rear pocket, though I wouldn't use the pocket for anything particularly heavy or valuable. Rapha make polos, but I don't ...

Euro breakdown cover

Any recommendations? Single trip, France/Belgium (and possibly Ned/Lux, though unlikely).

Thanks,

Andy

Re: Casual t-shirts?

I thought the Patagucci ones might do but no rear pockets and spendy.

Casual t-shirts?

I suppose this counts as about equipment…

Does anyone know of a clothing supplier that does a polo-shirt style jersey, with a dropped rear hem and pockets? I appreciate this may be slightly moon on a stick.

CUK Keyrings?

Not exactly sure which forum this should be in…

Does anyone know where/if it’s possible to source a CUK key ring? The merchandise section of the website isn’t wholly helpful.

Thanks,

Andy

What do you mean by that?

Long standing joke originating on STW forum where Brant was/is a regular poster.

Is. He’s been posting about the new 29” Scandal in the last couple of days.

An updated pompino with larger clearances is in the list. Petition Brant to make it in 853.

Re: Advice on kids bike (Islabikes or Saracen)

I saw an advert recently where for a fixed lease fee, the kids bike is replaced every time they grow out of one. Think Chris Hoy may have been in the advert. Isla was talking about this but I don’t know how far she’s got. The idea was that the bikes would be refurbished and passed back out (which t...

Aye, I can remember #1 spawn hurtling round the park on her Cnoc 16 in the sheeting rain, in a Last of the Flandrians stylee.

Gstar - sounds like it’s all worked out well for you?

Re: Presumptive liability

This is such a good idea it is astonishing to see that UK does nothing to implement this. It was very noticeable while cycling in Normandy how careful the French drivers were when overtaking cyclists. It just seems common sense, doesn’t it? I gather we’ve already got it for when a car runs into the...

Presumptive liability

Does CUK have a position on changing the law on liability (which would, IIRC bring us into line with the rest of Europe apart from Malta)? If not, why not?
