CUK Keyrings?

Not exactly sure which forum this should be in…

Does anyone know where/if it’s possible to source a CUK key ring? The merchandise section of the website isn’t wholly helpful.

Thanks,

Andy

What do you mean by that?

Long standing joke originating on STW forum where Brant was/is a regular poster.

Is. He’s been posting about the new 29” Scandal in the last couple of days.

An updated pompino with larger clearances is in the list. Petition Brant to make it in 853.

Re: Advice on kids bike (Islabikes or Saracen)

I saw an advert recently where for a fixed lease fee, the kids bike is replaced every time they grow out of one. Think Chris Hoy may have been in the advert. Isla was talking about this but I don’t know how far she’s got. The idea was that the bikes would be refurbished and passed back out (which t...

Aye, I can remember #1 spawn hurtling round the park on her Cnoc 16 in the sheeting rain, in a Last of the Flandrians stylee.

Gstar - sounds like it’s all worked out well for you?

Re: Presumptive liability

This is such a good idea it is astonishing to see that UK does nothing to implement this. It was very noticeable while cycling in Normandy how careful the French drivers were when overtaking cyclists. It just seems common sense, doesn’t it? I gather we’ve already got it for when a car runs into the...

Presumptive liability

Does CUK have a position on changing the law on liability (which would, IIRC bring us into line with the rest of Europe apart from Malta)? If not, why not?

The Isla bike will give the best resale value too

I hope so! As soon as #2 spawn comes off her stabilisers (see threads passim) the Cnoc has an appointment with eBay - it’s pink so wouldn’t suit the OP though.

Re: Advice on kids bike (Islabikes or Saracen)

Ridgeback make a good 16" bike. The knobbly tyres are a bit heavy and decent ones would transform it. Cheers James When we were shopping about for the Beinn 20L we had a look at the Ridgeback equivalent. Again, it’s not quite as good as the Isla (a bit heavier). IIRC the tyres are the same as ...

I’d really go with the Isla.

I meant to say - there’s a s/h Islabikes group on Facebook which might be helpful.

Re: Advice on kids bike (Islabikes or Saracen)

My boy's cycling really took off when we got him an Islabike Cnoc 16. They really are excellent. If you're careful and get a decent second hand one, you can sell it on and not lose much money. We got his from Gumtree and sold it a year later for slightly more on ebay. He's now on a Beinn 20, also f...

Re: Recommendations for novice 115kg female

To this end I would buy a Mountain Bike possibly second hand, front suspension only. I’d disagree there. Cheap suspension forks are heavy and don’t work all that well, and a bike with decent forks sub-£250 is likely to have seen a hard or lengthy life (and will need setting up and possibly servicin...

Re: Anyone ever tempted by a cheap bike?

There was a thing in Singletrack years ago where Chipps took Halfords’ cheapest “MTB” round the Towneley without fiery death. If memory serves it had no suspension and wasn’t quite a BSO, though they did have to shim the seatpost clamp bolt as it kept slipping.
