If in doubt, we remove front wheels and put them in tent. Cover Brooks saddle with cover or carrier bag.

Re: Brooks Imperial B17 saddle
I don't have an unlimited supply of saddles I'm afraid mumbojumbo so have scaled up from a photo as suggested by Simon Celsa, and done something similar, but with the same length, and position, I was not interested in absolutely copying the design. Hopefully it will give some more comfort in a particular area. After some weeks cycling mainly off road, Nantes to Basel along eurovelo 6 I decided something had to be done. Will report back if the mod works.

Re: Brooks Imperial B17 saddle
Thanks Simon will do that, just thought someone on here would just take a ruler to their saddle.

Brooks Imperial B17 saddle
Hi, could someone with one of these saddles please measure the distance from the front of the saddle to where the cut out starts, and from the rear of the saddle to where the cut out ends. I am carving one of my saddles, but need these measurements to get it right.

Re: XTR side pull front derailleur with 105 brifter
The derailleur is the Shimano XTR M9020 Side Pull Front Derailleur. Wanting to know if it is possible to fit a double chainset to a drop bar gravel bike designed for a 1 x 11 system which has no braze ons to run a front derailleur. If anyone has any other ideas which would work instead of a side pull derailleur I would appreciate it.

XTR side pull front derailleur with 105 brifter
Does anyone know if an XTR front side pull derailleur work with a 105 shifter?

Agreed, the yellow inner of my Terra Nova laser large 3 has always made it more pleasant.

Re: Big Agnes Copper Spur 3HV Bikepack versus Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL3 Bikepack
The chances of getting the Copper Spur 3 Bikepack at the moment are nil even from the states so I have ordered a Tiger Wall UL3 Bikepack. Quite similar, but with 3 instead of 4 legs, so not quite as good in the wind, but lighter in weight. Not sure about the khaki colour for wild camping, I would have preferred green, but then the Copper Spur is grey so that was not my colour of choice either.

Big Agnes Copper Spur 3HV Bikepack versus Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL3 Bikepack
Has anyone experience of both of these tents or of the Tiger Wall which could help me decide between the two.

Re: MSR Tent Fly repair / replacement
Shut our eBay shop, too many items mysteriously did not arrive, but did when a free replacement was sent. eBay does not support honest sellers, but quickly give refunds / punishes sellers when buyers use the didn't arrive scam.

Re: robens lodge 2 tent on offer
Interested in where you leave van if cycling off and sleeping in tent. We have cycle camped in various parts of France and have now bought a campervan, but still want to cycle camp so would like to pick your brains.

Re: Thinking of starting a micro campervan rental business
Some years ago I bought a fairly new very basic Danbury be camper to hire out. Cost £28,000. Insurance for hire business, and this was a single van with Liverpool Victoria, the best company we could find was £2000 per year and with £750 excess. So this is going to be an expensive undertaking. People's expectations are always very high, and respect for other people's property very low so expect high maintenance costs. We gave up and sold the van. At the moment I am awaiting delivery of a 22 year old 150,000 mile VW T4 campervan for myself, which is costing £10,000 and the cheapest I could find with the features I wanted, so don't think old VW Campers will be cheap. What you are planning can be done with almost any car and a tent, all you are offering is an alternative to sleeping in a tent, and I'm not sure many people would pay the £400-£700 a week on top of the cost of the campsite your vans will need to be parked in to save sleeping in a tent. If you proceed with this I would try a single vehicle first, the costs of 4 vehicles, premises, insurance, a lot on advertising etc is not going to leave much change out of £100,000 I would say, and that's if you only use the most basic of vans with minimal camper conversion.

Re: Cycle routes St Malo to South France
Hi, when we did St. Malo to Narbonne we caught trains from Narbonne to Toulouse then back up canals. Beware Toulouse and Narbonne that bike well locked if going into shops etc.
