In fairness he has to lose one as well! 7 speed Shimano gear set, 3 assist settings from rear hub, battery 36v 10ah in rear rack. Front suspension, lights powered by coin cell batteries. Has covered 30 East Anglian miles on a charge and 20 in the Peaks with power to go. Mud guards fitted, complete w...

Re: MTB size up or down

I have an app called SizeMyBike, I am just under 5’4” with 29” leg which was proving a tad difficult and that has been reliable at stating what size road and MTB to look at. I bought a hardtail off Wiggle, gave them my measurements and it arrived a perfect fit if that is any help.

Small Liv 3 Thrive Hybrid, Disc Brakes. £340 ono

Apparently I don’t need 5 bikes so 1 has to go! Selling a small frame Liv Thrive which was my BCQ bike. Purchased December 2019 she hasn’t been out much as lived in the Motorhome and only used when we were away, bit restricted this year. In really good condition apart from scuff marks on the front o...

Re: British Cycle Quest

Thanks all for repying. I didn't realise I had joined such an elite group. I am amazed that there are not loads of people doing it, it is such a great idea. I think it was an article on Neil finishing that led me to BCQ, nobody had ever mentioned it before. It is still early days for me, I signed up...

Re: Which bike to get?

Have you asked at your local bike shop about the Cycle to Work scheme, I wasn’t aware that it was shop specific. I bought a Liv Thrive (Hybrid) early this year, for being able to do distance and multi road surface, from Madgetts in Diss and I put that through the cycle to work scheme. The other one ...

British Cycle Quest

Sorry if this subject has been asked many times before but is there anywhere, here/facebook/twitter etc. for the BCQ. I am in the early stages, 13 now done, and after 3 this week in the Peak District it would be great to chat to anyone local who can give an idea of the terrain to a point. I am from ...

Re: Setting up a Selle SNP ladies saddle

I'm sat here looking at 3 mounted SMP TRK's and each one is slightly different. Turbo trainer one is level, looking over the front lumps and bum pads. The Sabbath Silk Road is low on the front, by quite a lot and the Time Trial Kona Lisa TR is flat but I have only just finished building her, last ni...

How best to route multiple locations

Hi. As a 50th birthday challenge my brother wants to cycle to every WW airbase in East Anglia. There is a quite a few of them, 150 ish marked on the map thus far. I had anticipated marking locations on Google maps and then breaking up into days of riding of about a 100 miles a day (we have taken the...

Re: IPhone for Navigation and Route Planning

I use my iphone with various apps, Map My Ride, Bike hub and Ride with GPS with differing results. I do trust it as much as I did the Garmin Edge, possibly not quiet as much as TomTom which is also available for the iphone. Power was the trouble but I bought a Powergen Power Pack for about £20 off A...

Re: Garmin Edge 605

Hope you have better luck than I did, same problem with the 605, Garmin changed it and then changed it again, then on their advise I upgraded to a 705. Few weeks and it went the same way, eventually Wiggle gave me my money back. Problem is I can't find anything else to do the job, the iphone runs ou...

Re: Aero Seatpost

Thanks for your reply, the tear drop shape of the tube threw me a bit so I contacted Kona and within 24 hours I had had 3 replies and the means of getting a specific seat post. That's another bit off the list.

Thanks

Di.

Aero Seatpost

Hi. Need some help please. Having been convinced when bike shopping this time last year that one bike could do everything the purchased Sabbath Silk road was joined by a sweet little Felt hard tail when the bad weather struck and now a Kona Lisa TR frame. Intended as my winter project to build up re...
