Re: Cannot access forum from my tablet
Make sure you're using https:// and not http:// at the start of the URL.
Your browser should automatically switch, but it sounds like it might not be.
It might also be the case that your computer doesn't have the latest "root certificates" installed, so it can't use the Forum SSL certificate any more.

Re: Windcheetah joystick universal joint and gear hanger
I need a new steering universal joint too. The black plastic and brass ones wear quite badly.
These look rather like the originals:

Perhaps using the same, but with gaiters, would work?

Re: Site response is slow
Rather a lot of requests from an IP owned by Alibaba US Technology Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong. In fact 25,260 so far today!
I've blocked the IP now, which might help.

Just add "start=120 end=130", or however many seconds you want, in the opening [youtube] tag like: [youtube start=120 end=130]...

Yay. Embedded YouTube that starts playing at 120 seconds:

Re: Is it possible to embed video on here? (eg YouTube?)
Not currently possible, but it might be feasible to add start and stop times to the BBcode tags as options. I'll have a look.

Re: Image display size
The image displayed inline with the text is a "thumbnail" preview.
It's sized so it doesn't take up too much screen space, but is big enough to see what the image shows.
Click on the thumbnail image to see the full-size original.

Re: Losing a post due to being logged out while typing
The Forum doesn't know anything about what you've typed until you Preview or Submit, which will send the post text to the server.
But yes, your browser should probably remember things you've entered into an online form. It's the only bit of software that sees the text as you type it.
The behaviour of the Cycling UK Forum is standard phpBB behaviour. There might be more discussion about this sort of thing on the phpBB website: https://www.phpbb.com.
