There are 16 A4 pages in total, 10 of which would have nothing in the least bit relevant to the Royal.

Mine was the 1000th frame by the Carlton/Worksop team (although they'd been moved to Nottingham by then) in August '87 (WL7001000), so our bikes may only be a few days different in age.
Mine was first purchased on 3rd December '87 (I have both the handwritten and till receipts - £340), but age at first sale probably varies depending on the sales volume of the dealer it was sold through (Rims of Bourne, Lincs in the case of mine).
They certainly produced a lot of bikes back then - the numbering method allows for a million per month per factory/division, although I rather doubt that the hand built stuff from the ex-Carlton/Worksop division ever got anywhere near that - I was surprised that it was as many as 1000.
