Re: Travelling to road cycling

Might be interesting to include timetrialling on your list. Some will travel an awfully long way by car to choice events.

Re: removing a regina corsa freewheel

There are plenty of new 14-28 Shimano freewheels on Ebay for a tenner, which would be my choice to resolve the issue.

Re: Mavic: circling the U-bend?

Nice historical reminders here from the Mavic site :https://www.mavic.com/en-us/history
Seems nothing has been added beyond 2010. A real shame if it's all lost.
There's even a Module E cross section showing the meaty side walls!

Re: Windy

I'm trying to get in a few more miles & finding the current breeziness frustrating. I managed to find some interesting research about power output required into different headwinds & whether being on the drops helps much : https://www.yellowjersey.co.uk/the-draft/how-much-difference-does-a-h...

Re: Campagnolo Nuovo Record brakes

Who did the Weinmann ad in the comic which had the line 'They're as good as Campag'?
I can't find it & remembering a name is even less likely.

I liked the idea of the Brynje mesh stuff, but not sure I could cope with the tights:

If you'd like a look at some old footage of the district try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WohhLX_YLlE
'We of the West Riding'.
Some excellent cycling sections in there as well.

Re: A positive thread

I got a cheery 'Happy New Year' from a passing cyclist which is a bit better than the
'I'm all dressed in black & I'm much too fast & hard to acknowledge you' I get sometimes.

Re: A positive thread

To ease the interminable interviews outside Parliament I've been counting the cyclists whizzing past. Very impressed by the numbers. Anyone here part of this commuter peloton?
