Re: Replacing drop handlebars on classic touring bike

Go for Deda RHM01 BARS OVER SIZE they are short reach and shallow drop ( £15 from Ribble Cycles ) and a new stem, I have PRO LT,they are very good, these will go together very well. Regards roger.

Re: where to find 162.5mm cranks?

My 5ft 2ins wife used 150 cranks for several years which made her very nervous when stopping as the saddle had to be raised 20mm,she now uses 165 so the saddle is 15mm lower which makes her feel safer. Please bare this in mind before buying the cranks.

I have a raleigh rapide mid 1960,s bike which is built with raleighs own 18-20 gauge tubing which i believe weigh only about 3/4 lb more than 531 plain gauge tubes. It has chrome fancy lugs, 3/4 chrome front forks & wrapover seat stays,my question is, as it is not 531 tubing is it worth anything...
