Which cycle carrier/rack for car?

After a few months of being a non cycling sofa king due to a cartilage tear the physio's have said get back on,,, yeah baby!

I digress lol

I am looking for a 3 cycle carrier for my 09 plate ford focus (no tow ball),, but am a bit confused as all the ads i see mention tow bar but the pix show a different story?

I am looking to spend up to £50

Have seen this from rutland leisure>> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330781649952? ... 26_rdc%3D1

Re: Device battery extenders

I will be ordering the pack, once i know when i can get back on the bike.

Like the link provided I was going to put the pack in my handlebar bag with a running lead.

Re: Device battery extenders

I was only going to use the tomtom for routing.

I have since found out that it probably takes 2 amps, which will be no good. So perhaps its back to the idea of using the iphone for routing

Device battery extenders

Morning all.

When it gets warm (and i am allowed to cycle again after op) I was thinking of using my tomtom one on a few all day ride outs, has anyone used or thoughts on battery extenders? I was thinking of buying a trent imp1000 which is rated at 11000mAH 5v from amazon to use with the tomtom.

Or should I just be done with buying one for my 3gs and use that, which i will already be using for and runkeeper? But I find the screen a bit crup for viewing.

Re: Riding with diabetes, please share your expeiences".

Type 2, about 5 years ago. Was on metformin, statins and bp stuff.

This year I have not drunk alcohol, and have cut out crap food.

Have lost 5st so far, through a combination of diet and cycling.

No longer on any drugs, type 2 is now diet controlled.

Only problem I had was on my longest ride to date of 62 miles, but I think that was lack of intake apart from electrolyted water, a coffee and banana's?

Other short rides of 30 ish miles are fine.

Hopefully back on bike in New Year as had arm op 2 weeks ago.

Ayesha wrote:The Pug on the advert is probably £35 pa VED. ( 100 - 120 g/km CO2 ? ) That's not a lot, same as my Ford Focus.

In fact, its less than the subscription fee to the Cyclists' Touring Club, which I also pay.

Now £30

jodee1kenobi wrote:Hi I myself have a disabled child and we used a company called http://www.tomcatuk.org/ in Gloucester on two ocassions. Bob Griffin is a man who knows his stuff re: the trikes and also he has a long list of charities that he can point you to.

We used Cerebra who were very good and funded the whole cost of my son's trike and we were very specific with what we wanted. The whole process went very smoothly.

Hope this information helps

My youngest son works at tomcat he loves the job,, thats all,, carry on
