Re: New idea for navigating LEJOG?

When I signed up to Komoot they gave me my local area to try it out free. Tried that first then got world wide maps afterwards can’t remember how much it was. With ViewRanger I create a route I don’t know anything about waypoints. I just download the route to my computer and use Komoot on my pc to pick the route up from my downloads.

Re: New idea for navigating LEJOG?

I use cycle travel or view ranger to plan a route then down load the route to Komoot on my phone with the screen off and voice directions it will do 60 slow miles on a charge. I use a cheap £4 head phones with only one ear plug in for directions. The phone is in a Topeak dry bag. I wouldn’t trust Komoot to self plan a route. I carry a battery pack if the phone needs charging.

Re: Cycling glasses

I have the problem when using reactive lenses with hedgerows if my head is in the sun and the side of the road is in the shade the glasses are too dark to see any pot holes or anything on the side of the road. I got some of those flip up old fashion sunglasses that fit to the glasses if it gets difficult to see the side of the road I flip them up.

Re: Sinwave/dynamo install question

I’ve got my Dynamo and sinwave wired up to a shimano on one Lego brick. I use a muller and busche front switchable light when the light is switched on the light takes what it needs and the rest goes to the sinwave or I switch the light off and all the power goes to the sinwave. I have the small box sinwave that I fitted underneath the stem.

How do you use your sealskin socks? On their own or on top of another pair of socks.

Re: 1st Recumbent Trike Questions & Configuration For Any Thoughts

I have a Sturmey Archer Dynamo hub on my ice trike that works well. I have Sinewav charger on it I can trickle charge a battery but I go too slow to charge my phone or Garmin.
