Re: Flu Jab - side effects?

I must have started when I was around 40. Never had any side effects beyond a bit of an ache in the injection site that went away once the vaccine had diffused into the bloodstream. Realized a few years ago that what I thought was a persistent ache in my upper left arm caused by the vaccine was in f...

Re: In praise of England

Maybe England will take some pressure off us now. Every summer Carcassonne sinks a centimetre from the weight of tourists, and it takes a good rainy season to float it up again.*

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Can someone please enlighten me on what it is the DUP want? As far as I can tell they seem to want a 'hard Brexit' i.e. leaving the customs union AND no hard border with Eire - which seems impossible, or did I miss something obvious? Coming to you guys because I can't seem to find a clear answer an...

Any chance of adding strikethrough?

To the tech side: Any chance of adding strikethrough to the editor? It's so nice to be able to say what you really think then cross it out in favour of something bland. :D

Re: Ten mental health tips

Try working out the combination of router bits needed to produce a picture-frame-style moulding and the sequence in which to use them. Then rout 12 metres of the stuff, retaining your fingers. That's my current puzzler.

Oh - you have to make the router table first.

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Turkey has as much chance of joining as does Iran. And assisting poorer neighbours is called being part of the human race. Ignore that lesson from history at your peril! The EU is still recovering from taking on the old Iron Curtain countries when Communism collapsed. We're still carrying Greece as...

Hi Folk :) , So if the group of Balkan countries get the right to join the E.U. that will make that august body a better club to belong to? With more begging bowl states surely the problems posed to the nett contribution countries will be that much greater, which with so few members paying the true...

Re: The right way to handle Scottish Independence?

The Gaelic language and the Scots language must be promoted to create a passion for independence, like in Wales I wouldnae ban English if I were the Taosiach, mind Every time I hear Taoiseach pronounced my hindbrain chimes in with Teeschachtel , which might best be translated from German as tea-cad...

Re: FILUMS ..to see.

Far fetched? You know it's science fiction right? ;) I really enjoyed The Expanse, having read all the books I'm not completely convinced by the actor playing Holden but in both the books and the series I'm a fan of Amos. Season 4 out in December. (+1 for Amazon for picking it up after it was cance...
