Re: Dynamos

Crossy; I bought them direct from Velogical, you can check their website here: http://www.velogical-engineering.com/home And shoot them a mail here: team@velogical-engineering.com Ogando is very helpful and the turnaround is very quick. I have had 4 from them now and all work faultlessly. Though the...

Re: Dynamos

No load meaning when the lights are turned off but the dynamo is still running. As there is no draw from the lights; the resistance or drag is reduced. In the case of the Velogical dynamo there is virtually no drag when the lights are turned on, and absolutely no drag when the lights are turned off,...

Re: Dynamos

How Do All ;-) For some reason I don't get email updates of replies to posts so only just seeing all the action. As for mounting the Velogical on horizontal stays, there is no reason that you can't do this, yes I know they state that it is not recommended due to water ingress, but in normal use, unl...

Re: Dynamos

Love the Peer Gynt bazz. Looks like Johnny 5 from the front. Did you experiment with different heights for the front lights on the Radius? Ha! yes, it does a bit :D I did experiment and had an IQ fly on the front fork crown but found it too low, hence the quill stem in the front head set. Thi...

Re: Dynamos

Thanks for the those photos, Bazz - you've neatly answered two problems I've been mulling over, namely how to fit a Velogic dynamo to my QNT, and how to fit a front light when there's a fairing fitted. Does the front of the Streamer cut off the beam of the lights much? I had thought I would fit a d...

Re: Dynamos

I can highly recommend Velogical as a non hub dynamo, which has the advantages of being able to switch it off and also replace damaged wheels with no hasle, which with a hub dynamo is a hassle. You can also with the trekking and special versions run a power charging system for phones, GPS and the l...

Re: Dynamos

How Do All ;-) I always used to use a B+M dymotec 6 bottle dynamo with Cyo + and Cyo Premium lights. A good dynamo and light system but creates a fair amount of drag on the tyre and the output is only good for a single front and rear light. But the last year or so I have been using Velogical rim dyn...
